Where are chickens legal?

The following cities permit backyard chickens, each with specific restrictions. In most cases, roosters are not allowed.  There are a number of U.S. cities which permit chickens if the lot size is very large (larger than a typical lot in Toronto), and those cities have been omitted from this list.
